Total 96 out of 150. The judges remarked on the lack of public support for the Tidy Towns Committee the profusion of litter derelict sites the amount of weeds  defacement of poles with Showband Posters and the condition of the grassy bank on the left on Virginia Road. Praise was lavished for the outstanding appearance of the Cathedral the Courthouse Oakvale Filling Station and the Rose Garden beside Cavan CYMS.
