A branch of the Social Services Committee is established in Cavan with Cavan CYMS loaning their card room for twice weekly afternoon meetings of older folk. The meeting to organises such a service was called by Doctor PJ Quinn County MOH. Chairman Rev George CA Millar BA Secretary Doctor PJ Quinn MOH Treasurer Gerry Higgins. Committee Father PJ McManus Con O Dwyer Sisters Mercy Carmel and Michael. The facility is being established for the over 65 members of the community and will meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 2-6 pm in the CYMS Farnham Street.
